Packard Clipper
Packard needed new design for its 1941 model line—completely new, yet distinctive for Packard cars. The man for the job was Howard “Dutch” Darrin. He accomplished what no one had done for the make in years not only that but he made it for very short period of time. The new model was named Clipper and was the first streamlined Packard it featured smooth profile, cool design, low roofline and it was the widest production car back then. Clipper was produced only as 4-door sedan and immediately became bestseller. Clipper was one of the last models of Packard before the switch to military production. The production of model was resumed after war and continued until last days of Packard Motors Company.
