Oldsmobile Aurora
Aurora was introduced as model in 1995 to replace the outgoing and aged Ninety Eight (98). Oldsmobile build this car basically from scratch, which is not typical procedure not only for Oldsmobile model but also for all GM line. The successful platform was used also for other models like Buick Riviera. The design of Aurora sets the trends for future models like Alero and Intrigue. The model was discontinued after 2003 with the second generation of the model that was introduced two years earlier in 2001. I think it’s safe to say that the first generation of Aurora (1995-1999) was a real American car with original design and spirit which is not true for the second generation. Despite the improvements of the second generation the exterior looks more like design of Hyundai or any of the Japs.
