Monte Carlo was added to Chevrolet’s production line for 1970 model year. Monte Carlo was categorized as personal luxury car and was similar to Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick Riviera. Introduced as “Muscle car” Mote Carlo’s life as such soon was ended due to the low fuel economy of the powerful engines and the oil crisis.
