- 1973 International Scout was part of the second generation of the model—manufactured from 1971 to 1980. Scout II was bigger and bolder than its predecessor the driving comfort was improved and buyers had more alternatives to extend the standard options of the model. Several engines were available from inline 6 to V8. That was a real off-road vehicle designed for driving in rough terrain with confidence.
