1969 Dodge Charger—Technical Data
- Information
- The 1969 Charger didn’t change much from the previous year model when it was completely redesigned. Exterior changes included a new grille with a center divider and new longitudinal taillights. Dodge released two special versions—Charger 500 and Daytona. Both were made in order Challenger could better compete in NASCAR. Daytona had very distinguishing rear wing that had to be tall enough in order to open the trunk. Daytona buyers had options to choose between two engines—440 and 426 HEMI. Total production for 1969 reached 85,680 cars, 503 from them were Charger Daytona.
