- The streamlined design of 1953 Champion was made by Raymond Loewy later it was called a “work of art.” The unique design was aimed to make the car look like European one. The exciting looks of the model sets the trends for many future models of Studebaker. Champion was available in five different modifications—Custom, DeLuxe, DeLuxe Conestoga (wagon), Regal, Regal Conestoga (wagon). 50,386 units were build for this production year.
