- Like most American makes Hudson's post war cars was just restyled '42s models. In 1946 was discontinued the old 175 ci engine. Buyers got options to choose between two straight engines—6 and 8 cylinders and three transmissions—stick/overdrive, “Vacumotive Drive” and “Drive Master”. In the equipment of cars was included: door arm rests, twin air-horns, ashtrays, windshield wipers, stop lights, locking glove box, sealed beam headlights and deep pile carpeting. The 1947 Commodore remained almost unchanged.
