- Clipper was introduced in 1941 and was Packard’s first car with streamlined design. Clipper was build on the 127-inch wheelbase and powered by 282 ci straight eight engine used also in Packard One Twenty series. On the first production year 16,600 cars were produced at base price $1,370.
