Customer Reviews
- Not just another Chrysler book.
- Avg. Customer Rating: 5 Stars
- The "Standard Catalog" series of books came out decades ago and were more than a little dry. Krause Publishing assigned various automotive writers with the task of spicing up the old books and providing new copy. Jon Robinson does a great job bringing in some new information and making it interesting to read. After contacting the author I realized the book was originally to have been much broader in scope but was edited down. I appreciated the fact that Mr. Robinson went out and found so many interesting cars to photograph . Many beautiful restored examples are shown of some rare cars. What is interesting is that many original survivors are photographed as well. The close-ups of the trim details is a nice touch and the author has his own unique style of photography. There are still some factory stock photos and original ads that flesh out the character of the book.
I consider it a valuable addition to my automotive library and have use it on many occasions to research my own illustration work.
