Product Details
Product Description: The Discovery Channel's Monster Garage series is one of the most popular shows on television today, and the line of branded how-to books are designed to satisfy the urges of viewers and fans eager to get their hands dirty trying some of the techniques on the show. How To Paint Damn Near Anything is the third book in the series, and contains the tricks and techniques required to transform a battered beater into a show-stopping street beauty. The reader is shown in step-by-step photographs how to take a project from bare metal to completed custom paint. The book would cover the basics of planning a custom paint job, preparing the surface, laying primer and final coats, and adding custom touches such as pinstriping, flames, and pearl coats.

Customer Reviews
- What is it with flames?
- RAvg. Customer Rating: 1 Star
- Don't get me wrong, there is useful information in this book, just not a whole lot of it. And the over-emphasis on flame painting - what's that all about? Perhaps the book should have been titled "How to Custom Flame Damn Near Anything". As a practical guide to custom painting it falls short of the many superior other references out there. As a fan book for the Monster Garage series, forget it, as the show only gets a passing mention.

- Found this book to be helpful in the way it gave a brief but easy-to-read outline of the processes involved in all the main areas of custom painting. Being a flame enthusiast myself, I found it benificial as it showed the main skills required to carry out the job and the tools and equipment needed.
- Its a good one but....

- This book covers all the steps you need to know but the thing i didnt liked is that it have a few chapters from other books. So if you have "cheap tricks & special F/X of craig Fraiser" you will not be happy to see a part of this book (37 pages). and from onother book i have - one about pinstripping (also Craig Fraiser's) (33 pages). So if you dont have these books i will recommend to add this one to your collection.
